Wer Ywet Studio (Windows) and Wer Ywet Reader (Android) are both free during the public beta. The only cost is the AI provider you bring — and that goes directly to the provider, not to us.
We do not run a translation API, charge per word, or meter your chapters. The editor sends a request to the AI provider you choose, and you pay that provider the way you would for any other API call.

Bring your own AI provider
Wer Ywet Studio does not run its own AI. You connect a provider you already use, store the key in the Windows keychain, and pay the provider directly. The Reader does not use AI at all.
You pay your provider directly
Wer Ywet never sees your provider invoice. Costs, speed, and availability follow the AI provider you connect. If you cancel your provider plan, the editor still works against your local glossary and memory; only the AI call becomes unavailable.
No manuscript data fee, ever
Your project lives on your PC. There is no per-chapter, per-novel, or per-language cloud fee from us. Local-first is the whole reason the price stays this way.

Is Wer Ywet Studio really free?
Yes, during the public Windows beta. The download, the desktop app, and the workflow are all free. We do not charge per chapter, per novel, per language pair, or per project.
What does the AI translation actually cost me?
Only what your AI provider charges for the calls Wer Ywet makes. The most common choices for English to Myanmar today are paid per token by the provider. You see the rate on their site; Wer Ywet never takes a cut.
Do I need a paid AI plan to use Wer Ywet Studio?
No. You can use any provider you can sign up for, including ones with free credits or free tiers. If a provider offers a free quota, that works. The only requirement is that the provider has an API you can point Wer Ywet at.
Will there be a paid plan later?
Maybe. We may add an optional paid tier later for teams or for hosted convenience features, but the local-first desktop app will stay free for individual translators. Nothing here is on a trial clock.
What about Wer Ywet Reader on iPhone or iPad?
Not yet. The Android beta is the only reader build right now. We do not have a release date for iOS, and there is no preorder or paid beta for the iOS version.
Do I need to sign in to use either app?
No. The desktop app and the Android reader both work without an account. The login page exists only for future server-side features and is not required to translate or read.
